Barcelona star limps out of Girona clash with potential injury | OneFootball

A leading member of the attacking ranks at La Liga giants Barcelona has sparked concern across the club’s fanbase late on Sunday evening.

This comes after he was forced into a premature departure from the club’s latest outing.

Barcelona, of course, are currently locked in action.

In their post-international break return, the Blaugrana have made the short trip across Catalunya, for a La Liga meeting with neighbours Girona.

And, as things stand, Hansi Flick’s troops are absolutely running rampant.

Owing to goals on the part of all of Lamine Yamal (2), Dani Olmo and Pedri, Barca find themselves in possession of a 4-0 advantage.

As alluded to above, though, on an otherwise positive evening’s work to date, one source of concern has also been forthcoming, on the personnel front.

As much arrived just beyond the hour mark, when, out of the blue, goalscorer Olmo went to ground with what appeared to be a fitness concern.

Taking no chances ahead of his side’s return to the Champions League in midweek, the summer arrival at the Camp Nou quickly signalled for a change, before gingerly making his way from the field of play.

An update on Olmo’s wellbeing is expected post-match.
