Barcelona star Iñigo Martínez beat out fierce competition, to scoop the award for Man of the Match in the club’s meeting latest outing on Wednesday.

Barca of course marked their return to action a short time ago.

Brimming with confidence amid a run of six successive wins across all competitions, Hansi Flick’s troops made the trip to Serbia, for a Champions League showdown with Red Star Belgrade.

And, when all was said and done, the Blaugrana’s stellar form only continued.

This came as yet another rampant performance gave rise to an eventual 5-2 victory for the evening’s visitors.

A whole host of Barcelona’s key performers shone en route to as much, with Robert Lewandowski having notched a brace, Raphinha a goal and two assists, and Jules Koundé a trio of assists from his berth at right-back.

And yet, as alluded to above, it was another who, post-match, was named the game’s standout performer.

Adding to his early goal by way of a rock-solid performance at the back, Iñigo Martínez was named the official Man of the Match by UEFA.
