Barcelona defender Jules Koundé has revealed his take that Vinícius Jr. represents the biggest threat to his side in this weekend’s upcoming El Clásico.

The name of wide-man Vinícius has of course taken its place front and centre in the headlines across all of Europe over the course of recent days.

This comes after the Brazilian provided his remaining doubters of his capabilities when firing on all cylinders.

After seeing Real Madrid fall two goals behind in a Champions League meeting with Bayern Munich, Vinícius took the game by the scruff of the neck, notching a 2nd-half hat-trick en route to an eventual 5-2 triumph.

As much only served in solidifying the long-time place of the 24-year-old at the very top of the Ballon d’Or standings, with Viní expected to be crowned world football’s best player at next week’s ceremony in Paris.

Speaking on the eve of Saturday’s Clásico, it therefore came as little surprise when the aforementioned Jules Koundé pointed towards the explosive winger as Real Madrid’s ‘biggest threat’.

During an interview with SportyTV, defender Koundé, set to be tasked with keeping tabs on Vinícius at the Bernabéu, explained:

“Scared of Viní Jr? No, not scared. He’s the favorite for the Ballon d’Or. It’s a challenge. I love playing against the best. I would say he’s the biggest threat.”
