A long-time member of the first-team ranks at La Liga giants Barcelona has added his name to the list of those to have bid Real Madrid star Nacho a fond farewell.
As much, of course, comes as Nacho prepares to bring his career-long stint on the books of Real Madrid to a close.
Despite having had a one-year renewal offer on the table in Spain’s capital, the 34-year-old has come to the decision to see out the twilight years of his playing days in the Middle East.
Nacho will imminently be unveiled as an Al Qadsiah player, in the money-laden Saudi Pro League.
Messages of tribute, in turn, have since poured in, for a player who spent the last two decades plying his trade with European football’s most successful club.
And, as alluded to above, amongst as much has today come a message from the other half of the Clásico divide.
Taking to the comments section of Nacho’s latest Instagram post, Barcelona star Sergi Roberto showcased his appreciation for his fellow countryman, writing:
‘Congratulations for everything!’
