The representative of Bayer Leverkusen star and Barcelona transfer target Jonathan Tah has on Friday provided a major update on his client’s future.
The name of defender Tah has of course long proven a prominent one in the headlines in Barcelona.
This comes after the Blaugrana saw a late-window approach for the German international rebuffed by their counterparts at the aforementioned Bayer Leverkusen over the summer.
The interest of the Camp Nou brass, though, remains strong, ahead of the expiration of Tah’s terms at the BayArena in the summer of 2025.
Safe to say, then, that Deco and co. will be interested to hear of the stopper’s agent, late this week, speaking out on Tah’s future.
Speaking to the media on Friday, as cited by Mundo Deportivo, Pini Zahavi confirmed that his client’s intention is to secure a move to ‘a big club’ next summer, with Bayern Munich currently leading the way:
“We tried to get Tah to change clubs last summer, but Leverkusen asked for too much money. The idea was to take him to Bayern, the club wanted to sign him. We would have liked it to be a good deal for Leverkusen. But now he won’t get anything. I think that was a mistake by Bayer Leverkusen. Now the situation is very simple: Jonathan will join a big club next summer. And Bayern still have a good chance of signing him.”
