Barcelona tipped to launch surprise move for Arsenal attacker | OneFootball

La Liga giants Barcelona have on Monday been credited with an interest in a member of the attacking ranks at Mikel Arteta’s Arsenal.

The player in question? Gabriel Martinelli.

It is of course common knowledge at this point that Barcelona are on the lookout for reinforcements in the final third with a view to next season.

Despite the explosive output conjured up by the current crop of attackers at Hansi Flick’s disposal this season, the Blaugrana are keen on adding much-needed depth beyond the trio of Raphinha, Lamine Yamal and Robert Lewandowski.

A whole host of options, in turn, have been tipped as potential arrivals in Catalunya’s capital.

And as alluded to above, on Monday, a new name has been thrown into the fray.

As confirmed by journalist Adrian Sanchez, Barcelona have begun ‘exploring’ a move for Arsenal star Gabriel Martinelli.

Capable of lining out either on the wing or in a central role, Martinelli, still just 23 years of age, is considered an enticing target on the part of Deco and his transfer team.
