According to a report from Fichajes, Liverpool have made it clear to Barcelona that only an offer of at least €80 million will be enough to secure the services of Luis Diaz this summer.
The Colombian winger has emerged as Barcelona’s top attacking target, and while the Blaugrana are fully convinced of his quality, the transfer will not be straightforward.
Diaz, currently one of the most important players at Liverpool, is admired in Barcelona for his balance, electric pace, dribbling, and ability to unlock defences from wide areas.
That said, Liverpool’s internal restructuring and potential financial recalibrations under new management could open the door for Diaz’s exit only if the price is right.
And for Barcelona, that price is steep: €80 million. This figure, while reflective of Diaz’s quality and status, remains a significant hurdle for a club still managing financial constraints and wage cap limitations.

Still, there is a genuine belief within the Barça camp that Diaz would be an ideal fit under Hansi Flick’s system. His footballing maturity, honed during successful spells with Porto and Liverpool, only adds to his appeal.
What strengthens Barcelona’s hope further is that Diaz is reportedly open to the move. According to sources close to the player, the idea of playing at Camp Nou and wearing the Blaugrana shirt is something he would welcome enthusiastically.
Barcelona are now exploring various financial mechanisms to make this deal viable. While a straight cash offer of €80 million might be unrealistic, the club is considering player-plus-cash arrangements or structured payments to spread out the financial burden.
Names who do not feature prominently in Hansi Flick’s plan could be included to sweeten negotiations, should Liverpool entertain such proposals.
