Lewandowski’s journey with Barcelona began in 2022. The club paid €45 million plus an additional €5 million in potential bonuses, securing the services of one of the world’s best forwards.

He signed a three-year contract, with an option for a fourth year, depending on the number of games he plays.

Two years on, Lewandowski is about to reach this impressive milestone, becoming the first Polish player to hit 100 appearances for the club. His 100th game will come in La Liga against Girona, a team that has caused Barcelona trouble in the past.

Lewandowski made his Barcelona debut in a goalless draw against Rayo Vallecano in the 2022-2023 La Liga season. He wasted no time in making his mark, scoring his first official goal just a week later in a 4-1 victory over Real Sociedad.

He continued his scoring streak in the third match when Barcelona played Valladolid at Camp Nou.

In the Champions League, he made history by scoring a hat-trick against Viktoria Plzen, becoming the first player to score hat-tricks with three different European clubs – Borussia Dortmund, Bayern Munich, and Barcelona.

In his debut season, Lewandowski helped Barcelona secure the La Liga title, and the Spanish Super Cup, and he also finished as the league’s top scorer with 23 goals.

Now, as he prepares to surpass 100 matches for Barcelona, his journey continues to inspire both fans and teammates.
