Dani Olmo among those pushing to be involved in Dortmund
Barcelona boss Hansi Flick must decide whether to put Dani Olmo straight into the starting lineup for tonight’s Champions League second leg against Borussia Dortmund.
Olmo has missed Barca’s last five games across all competitions after suffering an adductor injury during the 3-0 win over Osasuna - a match in which he scored - in the LaLiga fixture that was controversially rescheduled during the international break.
The Spaniard has since been passed fit and named in the squad that travelled to Germany on Monday for the return meeting with last season’s beaten finalists.
Asked in the pre-match press conference about his plan for Olmo, Flick said: “Dani Olmo is ready to perform. Whether he can play tomorrow, or for how long, is something we don't know yet and that still has to happen.
“He helps us enormously, but we have to be careful with Olmo. We don't know if he'll play. The important thing is that he's back on the roster.”
Whilst Olmo is back in the Barcelona squad, Alejandro Balde will play no part against Dortmund after sustaining a hamstring injury that forced him off against Leganes at the weekend.

With the exception of the left-back, captain Marc-Andre ter Stegen and young midfield pair Marc Bernal and Marc Casado, it is a fully fit squad at Flick’s disposal as he prepares to name a side capable of defending a 4-0 lead from the first leg.
Gerard Martin is in line to replace Balde, whilst Inigo Martinez could be protected as he is the one Barcelona player at risk of missing a potential semi-final first leg if shown a yellow card.
Frenkie De Jong is set to return to the line-up having been a substitute in the 1-0 win over Leganes and it could be the same attacking trio from the first leg with Lamine Yamal, Fermin Lopez and Raphinha supporting Ferran Torres, who could come in to allow Robert Lewandowski a rest.
Predicted Barcelona XI: Szczesny; Kounde, Araujo, Cubarsi, Martin; Pedri, De Jong; Yamal, Lopez, Raphinha; Ferran
Injured: Ter Stegen, Balde, Casado, Bernal
