The January transfer window is almost here and FC Barcelona are likely preparing for a quiet period with very little activity.

Given the Financial Fair Play situation, any new signings are pretty much out of the question, although there has been some talk of possible exits for players not seeing enough on-field action.

One such player who has been linked with a departure is young midfielder Pablo Torre, who is attracting interest from La Liga rivals Getafe.

Pablo Torre’s exit unlikely

However, according to a fresh update from Matteo Moretto, the chances of Torre being loaned out in January are very low, almost zero.

The former Racing Santander starlet has played a total of nine matches across La Liga and the Champions League under the guidance of manager Hansi Flick, accumulating only 267 minutes in total.

During this time, he has scored three goals and provided one assist.

Even though the 21-year-old has not played much, he has consistently shown that he is ready to contribute whenever called upon, and it appears that Flick intends for him to remain with the first-team squad until the end of the season at the very least.

Torre, for his part, also wishes to stay put at the club and continue fighting for his place despite being presented with offers to leave Barcelona.

The Spaniard’s current contract stands to expire in the summer of 2026 and soon enough renewal talks could also follow. But for now, there will be no January exit for Torre.
