According to Kicker, Bayer Leverkusen are plotting a summer move for Chelsea goalkeeper Djordje Petrović (25), who is currently on loan at Strasbourg. The Serbian goalkeeper was signed by the Premier League club for a fee of €16m from New England.

Petrović was sent on loan to sister club Strasbourg this season to continue his development, despite previously being deployed as the first choice at Stamford Bridge. The 25-year-old has impressed at the Stade de la Meinau and has played a pivotal part in Liam Rosenior’s side challenging for UEFA Champions League qualification for next season.

Returning to Stamford Bridge

Petrović is expected to return to Stamford Bridge following the completion of his loan at the Alsatian club according to L’Équipe, despite Liam Rosenior revealing his wishes to continue working with the Serbian international stopper next season. With the Blues eager to see him return, Leverkusen could struggle to pull off any potential transfer.
