Therefore, it was impressive when Lautaro Martinez opened the scoring after a 37 pass move by Inter. This was concluded by Marcus Thuram delivering a brilliant backheel for Lautaro Martinez.
The Inter captain scored a beautiful goal from the outside of his boot.
In fact, Inter were very solid defensively throughout the first half. And looked dangerous on the counter.

Subsequently, Inter continued to defend well in the second half. However, Inter defended far too deep from the offset.
This followed after Inter created a couple of chances but couldn’t double their lead. Therefore, it was no surprise when Thomas Müller came on deep and equalized in the 85th minute.
From then on, Bayern were pushing to score the winner. In fact, Yann Sommer saved Inter from dropping a lead to going at least a goal down.
The Swiss goalkeeper made two fantastic saves to keep Inter in the lead.
However, three minutes after Bayern equalized, Davide Frattesi latched on to a Carlos Augusto cross, making no mistake
In conclusion, Inter managed to keep Bayern at bay and go home with a lead. A slender lead for sure but a lead nonetheless.
