Sky Germany and TZ München both report that Bayern Munich are in the final stages of reaching an agreement with Unterhaching when it comes to the development of their players.
The overall aim of the agreement would be to send up to three players from the under-19s and under-23s to the 3.Liga side to help them develop more quickly compared to staying at the Bayern Campus. In return, Bayern will also pay Unterhaching a loan fee of a low single-digit million fee that will be dependent on the number of players sent to the club.
Unterhaching heavily relies upon developing youth players and will likely take the players at Bayern who are too good for the under-19s and under-23s and give them the opportunity to develop further in a local environment instead of being sent abroad, which is the current case. This will likely greatly improve Bayern’s talent development especially if Unterhaching are promoted to the 2.Bundesliga.
The plan has the full support of the bosses at Bayern including new director Max Eberl and they all have a good relationship with the counterparts at Unterhaching.
For those who do not know where Unterhaching is, it is a district of Munich found in the southern part of the city. This is key as it would mean that the players coming from the Campus would not have to move from where they currently live when being loaned out.
