Beale’s new Rangers fibs over Niko Raskin and Cantwell are staggering

The stuff from Michael Beale which continues to spew over the tabloids is pretty much why this interview happened.

The former Rangers boss gave quite the babble to Mindset for Sport in which he ranted and raved for lord knows how long, and demonstrated fairly clearly why he is now out of a job and unemployable.

Michael Beale can’t help himself. He has to say far too much, and most of it is literally nonsense, just like it was when he was manager at Ibrox.

The one we’re now amused by is the Raskin and Cantwell stuff, where one minute he’s telling us Raskin was a free agent, then the next minute we paid £800,000 to get him early.

Then there’s Cantwell, who we know absolutely cost Rangers money. The price tag on him was £1.75M, but now the esteemed Mr Beale is claiming he was free.

It’s bizarre – and this harks back to the first sentence – when he speaks, he makes headlines, because he spews such utter rubbish mixed with 1% of truth, and that means the headlines are sexy and attractive for the tabloids and websites, and clicks are guaranteed.

Content like Beale is dynamite for football sites and news sites, because the lad cannot help but spin a yarn, to weave utter tales.

He tells so many lies that he has no idea what the truth is any more – he loses track completely of honesty amid the fibs and when he contradicts himself that’s the porkie coming full circle.

Raskin was NOT a free agent, nor did we get him early – he was frozen out at Liege after an argument and still had about a year+ to run on his deal while training with the kids. Rangers saved him for about £2M.

Cantwell was not free, and it’s absurd to make that claim.

We suppose Beale is trying to stay relevant but it won’t get him a job.

Now clubs know what he’ll be like when he leaves, so how is he employable again?

Answers on a postcard.
