According to RMC Sport, AS Monaco have been contacted by LaLiga club Espanyol about a possible deal for 31-year-old French goalkeeper Benjamin Lecomte.
The ex-Lorient player made a slightly odd loan move to Atletico Madrid last season, where he made no appearances, after Monaco decided to give Bayern Munich loanee Alexander Nübel the #1 shirt over the course of the 2021/22 campaign.
Negotiations between the Principality side and the Spanish outfit have been ongoing for several days and the clubs are discussing the possibility of either a loan or permanent transfer deal. Both options are currently on the table.
