Ahead of the match between Paris Saint-Germain and Liverpool, our PSG Legends tell us about their greatest memories of big games, and their connection with the fans. With two days to go before the UEFA Champions League round of 16 first leg against Liverpool, our Rouge et Bleu legend spoke to PSG TV about the upcoming first leg.

Paris Saint-Germain will face Liverpool in the UEFA Champions League last 16 on Wednesday, a reprise of the double-header that you experienced in 1997. What memories do you have from those matches?

'It was a very high-level confrontation. We won 3-0. It was a good match, and an accomplished performance from us. That surprised them; they weren't expecting an opponent like us.'

What kind of match dare you expecting at the Parc des Princes on Wednesday?

'What we know for sure is that Liverpool are the kind of opponents who cause problems. But so are Paris! It will be a very high-intensity match, as they were back in our day. In matches against British sides, regardless of the level of the team, the intensity was always high, and it is even more so now.'

The business end of the season is looking pretty exciting...

'We're reaching a point in the season where every match is decisive. When you're a top-level club, you're expected to perform everywhere. Even in the last Coupe de France matches, you have to be focused. Playing matches one after the other like that is difficult, but it's also good for concentration, which doesn't drop. The whole squad is mobilised. It's clear that the team is working really well.'
