The young centre back made a couple appearances under Ange Postecoglou a few years back before disappearing off the radar, but after a successful loan spell in the championship with Queen’s Park the 21 year old has been recalled due to the impending exit of Stephen Welsh who is nearing a loan move to Belgian side KV Mechelen.
Welsh’s move will mean we will be short in numbers at the back, and Brendan will plug that gap by recalling the towering centre back to add to his numbers. He will also replace Welsh for the UEFA homegrown quota so will be in the bench for the two huge Champions League matches in January against Young Boys and Aston Villa.

Dane like Stephen Welsh will find first team opportunities hard to come by with the likes of Cameron Carter-Vickers, Auston Trusty and Liam Scales well ahead of him in the pecking order, but he has the chance to impress Brendan by being involved with the first team on a daily basis and it’s a massive opportunity for him.
Injuries and suspensions will occur as the season goes on and he may well have a chance to show his qualities. It’s a great opportunity for the youngster to show he can make the cut.
