Jaka Bijol insists Inter are the best Serie A club and is glad to hear the Nerazzurri are interested in his services but there is still ‘nothing concrete.’

Udinese and Inter meet in the Coppa Italia Round of 16 this evening and the Bianconeri defender Bijol released an interview with the Italian Football Podcast before kick-off.

“I think Inter is still the strongest team. I think they showed again against Lazio that they are ready when the big games come,” he said.

“[Can they win] the Champions League? I hope it’s one of the Italian clubs. If I have to pick one, I say Inter.”

The Nerazzurri will be looking for reinforcements in defence, and several sources claim Bijol is among their priorities.

“For sure, it’s a nice thing to hear,” said the defender.

“But in football, we know that there are a lot of rumours going around, so until there is something concrete, there is not much to talk about.”

However, Inter are not the only option for the Slovenia international.

“For sure, I have ambitions to play in the Champions League and Premier League. I have ambitions to do that. I hope it comes.”

Bijol, 25, has two goals and one assist in 17 appearances this season. His contract with Udinese expires in June 2027.
