Jed Wallace and Patrick Bamford are believed to be on Rovers' radar, though a move for the latter may wait until the summer.
Blackburn Rovers are considering West Bromwich Albion winger Jed Wallace as an alternative to Crystal Palace's Jeffrey Schlupp.
According to Alan Nixon, Schlupp still seems to be Rovers' first-choice option at this point, but the Palace man isn't short of interest from elsewhere, with Queens Park Rangers reportedly keen on him too.
But Wallace, who hasn't been one of the first names on the teamsheet for the Baggies this term, could be brought in as an alternative if they fail to secure a deal for Schlupp.
Leeds United forward Patrick Bamford is also believed to be a player of interest to officials at Ewood Park, with John Eustace keen on recruiting a striker, but it remains to be seen whether a move is possible during this window.
The Lancashire outfit have already made a couple of moves during this window, with Dion Sanderson arriving on loan from Birmingham City and the experienced Adam Forshaw making the switch from Plymouth Argyle.
Sanderson didn't play very much at Blues during the first half of the season - and could benefit from the opportunity to kickstart his career at Ewood Park.
Forshaw, meanwhile, is an excellent option to have both on the pitch and in the dressing room.
As mentioned above, Blackburn are eyeing a move for Wallace as a potential alternative to Schlupp, with the Albion man not winning many starts this season.
With this in mind, he could potentially be persuaded to make the move away from The Hawthorns during the current window, but it remains to be seen whether a move materialises, and if Blackburn go for him if they miss out on Schlupp.
Bamford is also believed to be on Rovers' radar and they are one of numerous sides that would be willing to take him if he's prepared to leave his big contract at Leeds.
But with the forward currently on the sidelines with a hamstring injury, a January deal may not be possible.
Both players could be interesting additions for Rovers.
The pair have both performed very well in the past, but things haven't gone their way this season.
In fact, things haven't gone Bamford's way since Leeds' return to the Championship, so a lot will have to be done to get the forward back into excellent goalscoring form.
Wallace, meanwhile, was one of the league's most talented players not so long ago.
A chance to start regularly could give the winger the opportunity to shine again.
