Former Chelsea striker Romelu Lukaku has aimed a massive dig at the club, the fans, and anyone in England who criticised him at the time.

Lukaku fell out with Chelsea big time when Thomas Tuchel was the manager there. He did that infamous interview midway through a season basically asking to go back to Inter Milan. He wanted out of Chelsea.

EXCLUSIVE! Surprise Chelsea player impressing training ground staff, but not for his quality….

There was a belief that Lukaku was a back to goal striker, yet he says he wasn’t that profile and people got confused.

After all of that happened there was a big fallout with the Chelsea fans, who completely turned on the striker and began really disliking him. Chelsea then had a battle on their hands to try and sell him for years after, finally managing to do so in the summer just gone.

Lukaku on a Podcast this week

The Belgian international has been on a Podcast called Friend of Sports this week in a bit of a reveal all interview about his time at Chelsea.

Lukaku said:

“In England, they wanted to put me in a box. They see someone built like me and think he’s the new Drogba, and because Didier did what he did they think I have to do the same.

“I’m not like that. Didier was more back to goal, he could hold up the ball no matter where you play it in from. That wasn’t my style, Bro.

“The narratives when I was in england was “he’s lazy. he doesn’t work hard, he’s not a leader, he’s selfish, first, he cannot hold a ball, blah blah blah. I played 2 years at Inter, “his back to goal, he’s the best player in the world, he’s top 5″.”

I can actually see his frustrations here, but he was very stupid to do that interview and the way he went about things, causing Chelsea fans to hate him. That’s completely on him.
