Milan and Napoli may go head-to-head for the signature of high-performing Bologna winger Riccardo Orsolini this summer. Per Calciomercato, it may take a ‘ridiculous’ offer to lure the 28-year-old away from Renato Dall’Ara.
Orsolini has been Bologna’s standout performer this season. Last weekend’s stunning overhead kick to seal a 1-0 win against Inter marked his 12th goal in 25 Serie A appearances. Indeed, he has been the focal point of Rossoblu’s genuine effort to secure a second consecutive top-four finish.
Though Milan tried to take the Italian forward to the San Siro in January, their proposal fell on Bologna’s deaf ears. Vincenzo Italiano’s side turned down Rossoneri’s €18 million bid without thinking twice. Therefore, it stands to reason they’ll expect nearly double that figure to let their talismanic star leave Emilia-Romagna.
Despite seeing their winter attempt come a cropper, Milan could reignite their interest in Orsolini this summer. However, this time, they may need to beat Napoli to sign one of Serie A’s best players. Matteo Politano’s form has failed to impress the Partenopei chiefs, making them return to the market for attacking reinforcements.
At 28, now’s the perfect time for Orsolini to start a new chapter. Milan and Napoli would be a step forward, yet Bologna will have the final say. The Italian’s contract runs out in 2027, meaning the Rossoblu will be in no hurry to sell their ace in the coming months. Even if they do, it’ll likely require a small fortune to get their go-ahead.
