Bologna’s Sam Beukema on Premier League interest: “I watch Manchester United but I love Bologna” | OneFootball

Bologna defender Sam Beukema voiced his opinion about his relationship with Manchester United’s Joshua Zirkzee and restored his faith in his own side.

Speaking in an interview with La Gazzetta dello Sport via Calcio Mercato, Sam Beukema revealed that he watches Manchester United play and also shares an excellent relationship with Joshua Zirkzee and Dan Ndoye. He said: “Josh and I are always in touch, even this morning. We don’t just talk about football, but about life. I always watch Manchester United. We have a chat with him and Ndoye and others, there’s a really strong friendship between all of us.”

The Dutchman shed light on his feelings when clubs like Real Madrid, Inter and Juventus are linked with him ahead of the transfer markets. Beukema said: “Are Juventus, Inter, Atletico and Real Madrid following me? My dad is my agent along with another person, I’ve always said to them: when there’s something very concrete, let’s talk about it. Otherwise, nothing. Here: we’ve never talked about the market, but I’m in love with Bologna.”

Beukema has made 32 appearances for the Rossoblu this season across all competitions and has improved consistently since his days with the Go Ahead Eagles. While Bologna remain in contention to qualify for next season’s Champions League, Beukema’s achievements have steered the club numerous times to register emphatic victories in the Serie A and in cup competitions.
