Borussia Dortmund are ready to part ways with Donyell Malen next month, and would be willing to sell the forward for a fee of around 25-30 million euros.
Donyell Malen has found himself in and out of the Borussia Dortmund starting XI this season, and has struggled to perform at the top level on a consistent basis. The Netherlands international has been heavily linked with a move away from BVB for some time now. And Sky Sport are claiming that those in charge at BVB are ready to green-light Malen's sale in the January transfer window.
A price tag of around 25-30 million euros has been set by Borussia Dortmund, and it will be interesting to see if any clubs would be willing to meet those demands.
The report adds that Malen sees himself at a club playing in the UEFA Champions League, and is also keen to leave Borussia Dortmund. Whether he will get his wish remains to be seen.
This season, Malen has shown glimpses of his quality and did grab a goal and an assist in the UEFA Champions League clash against Real Madrid. But other than that, the 25 year old hasn't been able to make the desired impact and is behind the likes of Jamie Gittens, Karim Adeyemi, and Maximilian Beier in the pecking order for wide players.
Donyell Malen, who has made a total of 128 appearances for Borussia Dortmund since his move from PSV Eindhoven in 2021, has a total of 18 months left on his current contract.
