Bournemouth have confirmed defender Illya Zabarnyi has signed a new five-year contract with the club.

The news comes only weeks after another key man for the Cherries, Antoine Semenyo, also agreed to a long-term deal to stay at the Vitality Stadium.

Zabarnyi joined the Cherries two summers ago from Dynamo Kyiv, and after a low-key first year, made himself a fixture in the first-team last season under Andoni Iraola with 42 appearances, 37 of which came in the Premier League.

The 21-year-old centre-back also featured for Ukraine at EURO 2024, starting all three group games as his side narrowly missed out on a knockout spot.
