Paris Saint-Germain are set to sign Lyon prodigy Bradley Barcola after convincing their Ligue 1 rivals with their latest offer, reports Fabrizio Romano.
Recent reports suggested that PSG had proposed an improved bid for Barcola, and Les Gones have now accepted the offer.
Les Parisiens have secured the deal for around €50 million including bonuses, and the French youngster will also fly to Paris on Thursday to undergo medical tests.
After several rounds of negotiations, PSG will be relieved to get their hands on Barcola, who had been on sporting advisor Luis Campos’ watchlist throughout the summer.
Chelsea were also keen on Barcola, but he was only inclined towards a move to Parc des Princes.
The 20-year-old rose to prominence following a stellar 2022/23 campaign, where he racked up seven goals and ten assists in all competitions despite Lyon’s struggles.
His stock grew further at the U21 European Championship, where he was one of the standout players for France with two goals and two assists.
PSG already boast Kylian Mbappe, Ousmane Dembele, Goncalo Ramos, Marco Asensio and Kang-in Lee in their attacking ranks.
Adding Barcola to the mix will be a cherry on the cake for the Ligue 1 champions.
Meanwhile, PSG’s negotiations with Eintracht Frankfurt striker Randal Kolo Muani have come to a standstill, and it looks unlikely they will pursue a deal following the arrival of Barcola.
Barcola could be the final signing of PSG this summer, with the transfer window closing on Friday.
With Luis Enrique a huge admirer, Barcola is poised to play a prominent role with PSG this season.
