The Brazilians struck early and late in the first half for a 2-0 interval lead, Irene Paredes conceding and own-goal and Gabi Portilho doubling the advantage from Yasmin’s cross.

Frustrating the Spanish and causing trouble on the break, Brazil had one foot in the final when Adriana put them three up, nodding in a headed cross from Portilho.

Salma Paralluelo gave Spain late hope when pressuring Duda Sampaio to head into her own net, Kerolin making it 4-1 before Paralluelo scored herself in the 12th minute of an added 18.
