Inter Milan wingback Carlos Augusto admits he and his teammates must improve their finishing following their friendly draw against Pisa.

The Nerazzurri had won their first three summer friendlies, but their flawless pre-season run came to an end on Friday evening.

Simone Inzaghi had to settle for a 1-1 draw against his brother Pippo and his sturdy band of players.

The Serie B side took the lead through Gabriele Piccinini just before half-time. However, Yann Bisseck pounced on the rebound to level the score at the death.

Inter had the bulk of the chances, but their underwhelming finishing prevented them from registering a win.

Therefore, Augusto calls for the team to be more prolific in front of goal in their next outings.

“We know that the start of the season is useful for getting minutes in our legs,” noted the Brazil international in his post-match interview with Inter TV via FcInterNews.

“We have to try to be physically fit. It was a good match, but we have to make better use of the chances that come our way.

“We have to always try to improve. I feel fine and I work hard to help the team in every match. Now we still have two more friendlies and we hope to do well.”

Carlos Augusto Wants A More Prolific Inter Milan Following Pisa Draw

Augusto was in the starting lineup before leaving his spot on the left wing to Federico Dimarco at the interval.

The former Monza man insists that Inter are still hungry for more trophies ahead of the new season.

“We are a very strong group and we feel good together. We want to continue to win for years to come.”

Inter will play Al-Ittihad and Chelsea in their last two summer-friendly tests before taking on Genoa in the Serie A season opener on August 17th.
