The entourage of Brentford’s Michael Kayode has spoken about the defender’s future at the Premier League side.
Currently on loan at Brentford from Fiorentina, Michael Kayode’s entourage member Andrea Ritorni revealed that the Italian played a friendly game against West Ham recently and he is slowly recovering from a knee injury that has hampered his game time in the last two Premier League games.
He told Radio FirenzeViola, via TMW: “Numbers count and don’t count. Kayode played a good friendly against West Ham today. He had a knee injury and was out for more than a month. Michael comes from a different kind of football, but the coach has a lot of faith in his abilities and always puts him in during the game. He was supposed to make his debut from the start but then he got injured.”
Ritorni played an instrumental role in bringing Kayode to Brentford on loan this past winter and now, it isn’t known if the Bees will make his move from Florence permanent or not. The agent of Vigo Global Sport is now focused on delivering a newer experience to Lorenzo Lucchesi and managing yet another deal for the Florence-based outfit.
Kayode has not made a single start for Brentford so far this but these are still early days for the defender, who was short of game time at Fiorentina in the first few months of the season.
