Brentford have been dealt a huge blow with defender Rico Henry suffering a suspected anterior cruciate ligament injury in his left knee.
Henry had to be substituted towards the end of the first half of Brentford's 1-0 defeat on Saturday, with manager Thomas Frank confirming afterwards that the 26-year-old would undergo a scan on Monday.
The Athletic now report that Henry has sustained a suspected ACL injury, which could keep him out of action for up to eight months, potentially ruling him out for the rest of the season.
If true, it is the second ACL injury Henry has sustained in his career. The last one occurred in September 2017, and he did not make another appearance for the Bees until November 2018.
