In an interview with HLN, Brian Riemer has been clearly impressed with the signing of Danish international Kasper Dolberg. The club’s head coach described Dolberg as ‘too good for Anderlecht‘. The Mauves only paid €4.5m for the Danish striker, despite selling club Nice having bought him for €20m four years ago.
After a strong first season, the striker struggled in France, scoring a total of 24 goals in 85 appearances. Dolberg spent last season on loan at two separate clubs. He spent the first half of the season with Sevilla, where he failed to score in eight games. The 40-time Denmark international then joined Hoffenheim for the second half of the season, scoring two goals in 14 games.
Riemer was also asked about more transfers, with business having been seen as slow by some fans and observers of the club. Riemer compared the transfer market to shopping, saying ‘We mainly want to get the right players. The transfer market is not like going to the Carrefour and grabbing something from the racks left and right‘. The side are reportedly interested in Brentford winger Sergi Canos.
