Brighton & Hove Albion have announced the signing of England youth international goalkeeper Hannah Poulter.

Poulter is a product of the Reading academy system. She worked her way through the various youth age groups to go on to feature in The Royals’ senior squad. The youngster was also a regular for Reading’s Under-21 side and won the County Cup with them in 2022.

On the international stage, Poulter has represented England at various youth age groups up to and including Under-19 level. She featured for The Young Lionesses at the UEFA Women’s Under-17 Championship and was part of the squad that qualified for this summer’s UEFA Women’s Under-19 Championship in Lithuania.

After bringing Poulter to Brighton & Hove Albion, the club’s managing director of women’s and girls’ football, Zoe Johnson said “Hannah is an exciting young talent and we’re delighted to welcome her to the club on her first professional contract.

“We’re confident in her ability to perform in a highly demanding environment, which has already earned her a well-deserved place with the England team this summer.

“We’re excited to start working with her when she returns from the EUROs, and we wish her luck in the tournament.”

Poulter becomes Brighton & Hove Albion’s seventh signing of the summer transfer window.
