Brighton striker Percy Tau is determined to prove himself Premier League class.

Tau is convinced lessons learnt last term, plus a full pre-season with Graham Potter's squad, can only be of benefit.

He told The Argus: “It has helped me a lot. I am getting used to the team, to the coaches, to the league, so everything is getting better.

“I'm starting to feel more and more sharp with everything.

“Hopefully this pre-season will help me.

“It's about understanding the rest of the guys, understanding the league and the intensity.

“The intensity is a bit higher than in Belgium.

“It's one of those things where you kind of feel like you are slower or need more time because of the intensity.

“You don't get as much time.

“You have to try and move a bit more, create some space for yourself."
