The Robins announced the news via a post on their official club website this evening.
Evans joins Bristol City after spending the last two seasons in East London at West Ham United. The player made 28 appearances for The Hammers in the Barclays Women’s Super League in which she scored four goals. The 31-year-old has also previously represented Arsenal in the English top flight. During her time with The Gunners, Evans won the Barclays Women’s Super League title and the FA Women’s Continental Tyres League Cup.
On the international stage, Evans has been capped on 103 occasions by Scotland and she has scored 17 goals.
After signing an 18-month deal with Bristol City, Evans said “I wasn’t really expecting to leave West Ham in this window but as it happened, the opportunity came along, I was delighted and I took it with both hands.
“I spoke with Lauren Smith and got a great impression of the club and I know Bristol is a wonderful city too.”
Evans becomes Bristol City head coach Lauren Smith’s third signing of the January transfer window. The Robins have also signed goalkeeper Shae Yanez and midfielder Sarah Stratigakis this month.
