Booed against Napoli, demoted to the bench by force of circumstances, Bryan Cristante looks to make his second consecutive start in the league.
A logical consequence dictated by the turnover and Koné’s suspension, as well as Claudio Ranieri’s decision to rest Leandro Paredes.
The last few months for Cristante have been hell, writes Corriere dello Sport.
A bothersome ankle injury weighed heavily on him. He had hurt himself against Atalanta at the beginning of December and took almost two months to recover, missing a whopping 10 games between Serie A and Europa League and Coppa Italia.
Venezia, therefore, represents a new beginning. It is a chance to take Roma back on his shoulders, especially away from home, where it is extremely difficult.
