Bundesliga sides interested in taking Brighton’s Evan Ferguson on loan

Fabrizio Romano and originally the Daily Telegraph that there is interest from the Bundesliga in Brighton’s Evan Ferguson.

There is also interest in the Irish international from the Premier League and Ligue 1 after he has fallen out of favour under former St.Pauli head coach Fabian Hürzler on the South Coast. Injuries have also not helped the 20-year-old’s ability to return to form.

There is little information on which teams are interested in Ferguson, so we are now going to muse about which potential Bundesliga clubs would be interested:

Due to the injury proneness of Jonathan Burkardt, Mainz could be a potential destination, however, Ferguson is only a year older than Nelson Weiper, who made a scoring return to the starting 11 at the weekend so Mainz will likely not want to block the homegrown striker’s pathway.
Union Berlin has been looking for a striker in this window and has been linked to on-loan Elversberg striker Fisnik Asllani.
Despite the impending return of Mergim Berisha to the club, the striker position is an area that Augsburg are significantly lacking in.
St.Pauli have the second-worst attack in the league and an additional striker may help them as they look to retain their Bundesliga status.
Bayern Munich are looking to push Mathys Tel out of the club and Ferguson could come in as the much-needed backup to Harry Kane.
