Burnley have confirmed that midfielder Josh Cullen has committed his future to the club.

Vincent Kompany reunited with the 27-year-old last summer after they worked together at Anderlecht.

Cullen becomes the Clarets’ third player to sign a new long-term deal this month following Anass Zaroury and Manuel Benson.

“I’m really happy to extend my time here, especially off the back of last year which was a really successful year for the club,” said Cullen.

“I can’t wait to continue my career with Burnley.

“It will be great to get back to Turf Moor this weekend and be in front of the fans again and hopefully get our first three points on the board.”

Cullen enjoyed a promotion-winning debut season with Burnley as he won the club’s Player of the Year and Players’ Player of the Year accolades.
