Juventus are waiting for news after defender Juan Cabal was forced to withdraw from the Colombia international squad with an injury.
According to initial reports, the problem is a knee injury and the extent of the damage still needs to be ascertained, but the fear is it could be serious.
The 23-year-old can play as a left-back or in central defence and made nine appearances between Serie A and the Champions League so far this season, contributing one assist.
He had been called up by his country for the matches against Uruguay on Saturday November 16 and Ecuador on Wednesday November 20.
Cabal received his first senior cap for Colombia in September and now has two appearances.
Juventus paid €12.8m plus another €2m in add-ons to purchase the player from Hellas Verona in July, after he left Atletico Nacional in August 2022.
The Bianconeri are already dealing with injury problems after losing Gleison Bremer for the rest of the season to a torn anterior cruciate ligament in his knee.
