Caio Henrique (26) missed most of the 2023/24 season with a cruciate ligament injury. Whilst the Brazilian returned before the end of the season, he has now suffered another injury blow ahead of the upcoming Ligue 1 campaign.
AS Monaco played their first pre-season game of the summer, losing 1-0 against Servette at the Principality club’s performance centre up in La Turbie on Saturday. Whilst many first-team players were absent on international duty, Henrique’s absence had a different explanation, as manager Adi Hütter confirmed.
L’Équipe report that the Brazilian has been suffering from a calf injury for around a week. Les Monégasques understand that he will be absent for a few weeks, although the report added that there is little concern around the club regarding the injury, despite his recent ACL issue.
Like his compatriot, Vanderson is also currently sidelined. The right-back is suffering from a hip issue. The hope is for both players to return in time for the start of the Ligue 1 season on 16th-18th August.
