Caleb Ekuban set to lead flurry of Leeds United exits | OneFootball

Leeds United are close to confirming the sale of Caleb Ekuban to Trazbonspor, one which will kickstart the exodus of several fringe players.

The 25-year-old moved to Elland Road in 2017 but spent last season on loan with Trabzonspor, who he is close to joining on a permanent basis.

According to a Yorksire Evening Post report, Ekuban’s exit is set to be made official in the coming days.

It is believed that Leeds will net a fee of over £1m from the Turkish side for Ekuban’s services.

He will be the first of at least four squad players who don’t feature in coach Marcelo Bielsa’s plans to be moved on.

United also hope to move on Yosuke Ideguchi, Laurens De Bock and Samuel Saiz in the coming weeks, although a deal for the latter is a more complex matter.

The Spaniard was caught up last week in a match-fixing investigation in his homeland, in which he was implicated.

That said, both Alaves and Valencia have been credited with an interest in bringing him back to LaLiga.

Ideguchi spent last season on loan at Greuter Fürth, who have an option to make the move permanent, while De Bock was farmed out to Oostende in Belgium.
