GUATEMALA CITY – Canada won the 2025 Concacaf W Futsal Championship Final with an 8-2 victory against Panama on Sunday at the Domo Polideportivo in Guatemala City, Guatemala.
The Canucks took the lead in the 6’ after Erica Hindmarsh capitalized on a deflected ball. Esther Brossard extended her personal tally, getting the second goal of the match in the 7’, with a left-footed first touch.
A great collective play raised the Canada advantage to three goals, as Joëlle Gosselin pounced on a loose ball in the 15’. Brossard collected her brace and the fourth of the match in the 16’.
Panama cut the deficit from a free kick in the 24’, a right-footed shot by Kenia Rangel.
Canada would reclaim the four-goal gap in the 25’ with Brossard sending a right-footed volley to seal a hat-trick in the Final. Brossard ended the tournament as the competition’s Top Scorer with eight goals.
Keera Melenhorst added the sixth goal for Canada in the 29’ before Arianys Arguelles responded with the second goal for Panama in the 31’.
Stephie-Ann Dadaille scored the seventh goal for The Reds in the 37’. Shayla He put a bow on the victory with an eight goal in the 40’ as Canada claimed the inaugural Concacaf W Futsal Championship crown.
