Juventus Women’s First Team return to action tomorrow and will be seeking to get back to winning ways just four days after their UEFA Women’s Champions League encounter against Arsenal.

Their next fixture sees a change of competition, as the Bianconere take on Sassuolo in the Women’s Serie A. The challenge against the Neroverde marks the start of the second half of the league’s regular season for Massimiliano Canzi's team. The match is scheduled to kick off at 12:30 (CEST) tomorrow, Sunday 17 November 2024, at the ‘Pozzo-La Marmora’ in Biella.

On the eve of the match against Sassuolo, the Bianconere coach told us how the team reacted to Wednesday's result (on 13th November) and what the team's objectives will be in the second part of the regular season, starting with the tomorrow’s encounter.

THE SQUAD'S FEELINGS POST UWCL

"In our dressing room, after the game against Arsenal, anger and sadness were undoubtedly the strongest feelings felt by the girls. Anger at the score being such a wide margin in favour of the English side, sadness, on the other hand, for not being able to bring home a positive result. Losing is fine, but losing in that way is harder to accept. These emotions were compounded by the fact that we had stayed in the game until Arsenal’s second shortly after the 70th minute.

FOCUS ON THE LEAGUE AS THE SECOND HALF OF THE REGULAR SEASON GETS UNDERWAY

"It sounds obvious, but the girls in this second half of the regular season will have to be good at building on the positive things from the first half of the season, playing every game with maximum attention and concentration, just as they have done so far. The positive approach to matches has been one of the aspects that has most characterised this team in these first few months of the season, and the goal will be to continue along this path, not giving an inch.

ATTENTION TURNS TO SASSUOLO

"I asked the players, ahead of tomorrow's match (Sunday 17 November) against Sassuolo, to approach the challenge in the best possible way. We can absolutely influence our performance. It is clear that the result also depends on our opponents, but our performance depends exclusively on us. We will try to field our best team, with the aim of achieving the best possible result. Although, after nine matches, the league table seems to have settled down, there are no easy games. That's the beauty of this sport and this championship is proving that there are no easy challenges. Attention and determination of the highest levels will be required, especially against a team like Sassuolo who, after a difficult period, will come into the game in good form after two consecutive victories."
