Carlo Ancelotti confirms Real Madrid star will continue out of position vs Osasuna | OneFootball

Real Madrid head coach Carlo Ancelotti has confirmed that Federico Valverde will continue to line out in defence in the club’s next outing.

Real, of course, are primed to return to action on Saturday evening, when they make the trip to El Sadar for a La Liga meeting with Osasuna.

As much comes fresh off a comeback downing of Manchester City in the Champions League in midweek.

The aforementioned Fede Valverde for his part featured from the off at The Etihad.

With both Dani Carvajal and Lucas Vázquez absent through injury, however, the Uruguayan took to the pitch in an unfavoured position, at right-back.

And this, it has today been revealed, will prove the case once more against Osasuna.

Drawn on his plans at right-back this weekend during his latest pre-match press conference on Friday, Carlo Ancelotti confirmed:

“Valverde will continue in that position until Lucas Vázquez returns.”
