Carlo Ancelotti provides injury update on Real Madrid pair before Barcelona | OneFootball

Real Madrid head coach Carlo Ancelotti has on Saturday provided updates on the wellbeing of two leading members of his midfield ranks.

This comes after Jude Bellingham and Federico Valverde suffered fitness issues during Real’s Spanish Super Cup semi-final meeting with RCD Mallorca.

En route to a 3-0 Blancos triumph, engine room stars Bellingham and Valverde both picked up adductor strains.

The pair, in turn, were immediately labelled as doubts to feature in Sunday’s Supercopa showpiece against Barcelona.

Speaking to the media during his pre-match press conference this afternoon, it therefore came as little surprise when the subject of the wellbeing of both players was put to boss Carlo Ancelotti.

And the update provided by Real’s headmaster proved an altogether positive one:

“Jude Bellingham is fit and ready for the final, he has recovered well.”

Fede Valverde, who joined Ancelotti for his press conference, also confirmed his readiness to feature from the off against Barcelona.
