Real Madrid head coach Carlo Ancelotti has moved to reassure the club’s fans regarding the situation of youngster Arda Güler.

This comes fresh off another disappointing day’s work for the Turkish international on Sunday.

Real Madrid marked their return to action this evening, welcoming Girona to the Spanish capital with sights on a much-needed return to winning ways in La Liga.

When all was said and done, this is precisely what Los Blancos managed, emerging on the right side of a 2-0 result courtesy of goals on the part of Luka Modrić and Vinícius Jr.

The aforementioned Arda Güler, however, played no part.

The 19-year-old was forced to watch on from the bench for the entirety of the 90 minutes, making it five successive outings with no time on the pitch.

Speaking to the media post-match, Carlo Ancelotti was therefore drawn on Güler’s situation at present, as well as whether or not the midfielder has fallen entirely out of favour.

Real Madrid’s headmaster, though, was quick to assure:

“Arda? He is fine and ready to play, he will.”
