Carragher criticises Leicester fans and Foxes bosses

Popular pundit Jamie Carragher has been speaking about Leicester City Football Club, as he does with every Premier League team. The former Liverpool defender, alongside fellow ex-professional and Manchester United legend Gary Neville, often offers keen insight and interesting opinions. However, that doesn't mean Carragher or Neville's tough love is easy for fan bases to hear or digest.

This time LCFC are in the retired footballer's sights. Carragher has actually criticised Leicester fans; he believes the Foxes faithful can aid their team in top flight survival. But supporters must change something, says the former England international. What does he want to see, or not witness, from the east Midlands side's spectators?

And King Power bosses were not spared from the 46-year-old's wrath either. Chairman Aiyawatt Srivaddhanaprabha, and especially director of football Jon Rudkin, have received increasing reproval from the Blue Army as well. Carragher has a suggestion for the ownership and hierarchy at large in Leicestershire. So what have 'Top' and Rudkin gotten wrong of late according to the one-time Reds man? Let's see.

Jamie Carragher lists Leicester City's off-field faults

Carragher duly noted Leicester's renewed on-pitch positivity from the game versus Liverpool at Anfield. Not to mention noting reasons for optimism when back at King Power Stadium in the defeat to Manchester City. We were all impressed by LCFC's improved play and ball retention.

But Carragher didn't congratulate the Foxes for too long because he also saw problems recurring during the loss to Man City. First of all, the Sky Sports summariser or commentator mentioned the Leicester crowd. And he suggests a different approach:

"At Ipswich, there’s still that feel-good factor, and if they have a few bad results, they’re not going to get too down on themselves, they’re not going to get too negative. Whereas I feel at Leicester, the crowd can become a bit negative."Jamie Carragher

Secondly, Carragher spoke of apparent entitlement emanating from bosses on Filbert Way. He believes the LCFC hierarchy 'expect to avoid relegation'. That, he asserts, can cause negativity.

"I’ve been really worried for Leicester since Ruud van Nistelrooy came in, even though some of the results have been really good, and the performance against Man City was really good. I think Leicester have given up a lot of opportunities, shots, big chances, in all of the games they’ve played in, bar the Man City one."I think because Leicester expect to stay up, at times there can be a bit of negativity. They’ve already changed their manager because they expect to stay up."Jamie Carragher
