Celtic want Motherwell midfielder Lennon Miller and are weighing up a deadline day swoop for him after having an earlier bid rejected last month, according to the Scottish Sun.
Hoops manager Brendan Rodgers is a big fan of the 18-year-old and would love to have him at the Parkhead club.
Miller has been watched by every top Premier League club this season, while Udinese are also keen on the Celtic target, but their bids have been rejected as suitors need to pay over £4 million to have any chance of landing him before tonight’s deadline.
The Bhoys boss still wants to bolster his squad with a new left-back, midfielder and a striker, but whether there is enough time to get all those deals done remains to be seen.
Miller is currently out injured and is not expected back in action until March after he suffered an ankle fracture in December, but Celtic and others remain interested in recruiting his services.
His contract at the Fir Park club does not expire until the summer of 2026, but the club CEO Brian Caldwell has insisted that they are under no pressure to sell.
However, they could find it difficult to turn down a huge bid, but it is unknown whether Celtic have plans to offer top dollar for the teenage sensation.
Miller has been one of the best youngsters in the land, and a move to Parkhead could be tempting.
The Scotland youth international has what it takes to play in the Premier League and could prefer to wait until the end of the season before making a decision on his future.
Celtic may need to look elsewhere for the midfielder Rodgers want and must move fast as there is very little time left in the window.
