The complete job description for this position states:

The advertisement continues by outlining the primary duties the chosen candidate will be responsible for, including:

– Develop & maintain a knowledge of our style of play to provide relevant recommendations in preparation for our next match.
– Co-ordinate and lead opposition preview meetings prior to each upcoming fixture.

Celtic are aiming to find a candidate with a bachelor’s degree in Sports Science, Performance Analysis, or a related field, along with proficiency in key performance analysis systems and software such as HUDL, WyScout, Sportscode, and Coachpaint.

It was only last week Brendan Rodgers praised Celtic’s Match Analyst Jack Lyons for his dedicated work with forward Daizen Maeda, who has been in exceptional form this season, excelling both on the wing and as a striker.
Ahead of the Hoops 1-0 defeat at the hands of St Johnstone at McDiarmid Park last weekend, the Celtic manager highlighted Lyons as a key factor in Maeda’s progress. He said: “I think that he [Maeda] works closely with Jack Lyons here, one of our young coaches.

“He’ll focus individually on some of the details on that. His ability to learn is also what has helped him. He gets pointed out items with all the coaches, and we’ll speak to him as a manager. Jack will do specific stuff with him as well.”
