Celtic sign Bristol City attacker Harrison | OneFootball

Celtic have completed the signing of Bristol City attacker Abi Harrison.

The Glasgow giants announced the news via a post on their official club website this morning.

The 27-year-old Scotland international returns to Celtic Park for a second spell. Harrison spent her youth with The Hoops before turning out for the club at senior level between 2011 and 2015.

Harrison has spent the last six years in England with Bristol City. She went on to make 128 appearances for The Robins in all competitions, helping the club to the Barclays Women’s Championship title in 2022/2023. Harrison was a big favourite of the Bristol City fans.

After completing her return to Celtic, Harrison said “I’m absolutely delighted to be back at Celtic and can’t wait to get going again. A lot of people know that it is a bit of a full circle fairytale for me. I made no illusions when I left the club as a 17-year-old that it was my dream to play for them again one day.

“As soon as I signed for Bristol, I said the only club that I would leave Bristol for was Celtic. It probably still hasn’t hit me yet that I’ve been able to do that. That will come and process when I pull the shirt on for the first time in a game.

“I think it feels amazing, and I know it’s just going to keep getting better, especially for me and my family. They can see me not only live my dream but also live there’s as well as we are all Celtic fans.”

Celtic are next in action on Friday evening when they play host to Hearts in SWPL 1.
