Ange Postecoglou has named his Tottenham Hotspur starting XI for his visit to Ibrox this evening. The Australian makes the return to Glasgow for the Europa League fixture against Rangers just days before the Premier Sports Cup Final.

Whilst former Celtic goalie Fraser Forster is the obvious standout in the Spurs team, the veteran goalkeeper and Ange are not the only Celtic supporters involved this evening. The 18-year-old Archie Gray will start in the middle of defence and he will have the added boost of looking to silence the Ibrox crowd.

Speaking after he signed to the Spurs website, £30m-man Gray admitted that he was a Celtic fan and the Ange factor was a big reason that he signed.

“It’s a massive project under Ange, and it’s something that I want to be part of. I’m not going to lie to you; I’m a massive Celtic fan, so I love him, and my whole family loves him. I haven’t really said this, to be fair. He’s also a massive factor (in joining Tottenham) because playing under a good manager important for me and I’ve still got loads to learn because I’m only 18.”

The youngster will no doubt harbour his own ambitions about scoring and impressing against Rangers and will view the game as an opportunity to do that. Despite being a centre midfielder, Gray has shown himself at both Leeds and Spurs to be adaptable to a number of key positions. Hopefully he can help Ange and Fraser Forster help Spurs towards a win that would take the wind out of Rangers’ sails.
