Celtic face Motherwell this afternoon in the Premiership as Brendan Rodgers’ side look to bounce back from the draw at Tannadice. The visitors from Fir Park will be hoping to frustrate Celtic, allowing the Champions to have a lot of the ball meaning that Celtic need to have match winners in the team to break down the visitors.
The Celtic manager had a number of absentees for the stalemate against United but will be expecting Cameron Carter-Vickers and Auston Trusty to return from illness. Nicolas Kühn and James Forrest are both out with injuries while Alistair Johnston may be available for the game.
You would expect that Brendan goes with both Idah and Kyogo given the struggles out wide from Luis Palma and Yang up at Tannadice. Celtic will be looking to strengthen in the wide areas this January transfer window but will need to make do until Kühn returns from injury.
Kasper Schmeichel will start in goals. The Dane picked up his first piece of silverware with the Celts this month and will be eager to continue his excellent start to life with Celtic.
Expect Liam Scales to start alongside Cameron Carter-Vickers in the centre half pairing with Tony Ralston at right back and Greg Taylor at left back.
Callum McGregor will start in the middle with likely Reo Hatate and Paulo Bernardo.
In attack, you would expect Daizen Maeda to start with Kyogo in the wide areas with Adam Idah through the middle.
